This ministry is a team of S.I.S. (Sisters In Spirit) planning fun, social activities that create opportunities to meet new friends, put names to familiar faces and hang out with old friends. There are many ongoing events.
Are you looking for a way to serve and get involved in Thornton? Your place might be with New Life Community Christian Church and the women's ministry. It is not an overwhelming commitment, just a chance to help others as the opportunity arises. Make a meal, run an errand, give a ride, send a card...we need your help to help others.

Encouraging women to care for others in need, within our church community or in our community at large.  Sisters In Spirit continue to meet 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Thornton Library (Essa Public Library Board Thornton Branch) Conference Room.  Coffee/Tea and fellowship provided.

Prayer Partners is a way of sharing prayer requests with other spiritual people.
The Prayer Partners will connect and pray for someone who needs the power of prayer.

Bible Studies for Women

Sisters in Spirit is a faith-based women's organization encouraging women of all ages and stages in life to grow in faith and spiritual maturity through a relationship with Jesus Christ and an understanding of God's love and grace.

Our Message: Beyond a shadow of a doubt, God loves you - regardless of where you are in life. 

Our Approach:  Humor and honesty - real women sharing how God helps them deal with real issues. 

Our Objective: To see women set free to a lifestyle of God's grace by offering bible studies.

Don't waste time holding yourself back from completely surrendering to God.  God is love.  He made you.  He will keep you.  He won't give up on you.  He has plans for you that will not harm you, but will give you a bright and glorious future.  We have now completed our 6th Bible Study, "Giving God Your All" and the theme verse is something to memorize "Give yourselves completely to God" Romans 6:13.  What shall we study next?...stay tuned!
